Roku Japanese Gin is ‘Alive By The River’ with Limited-Edition Noryo Tea Expression
Inspired by Japanese tradition and distinctive Sencha tea and Gyokuro green tea botanicals harvested at their peak
London, UK - 1 March 2026 – Roku Japanese Gin, the authentic Japanese craft gin from the House of Suntory, today announced the global launch of Roku Gin Noryo Tea Edition, a limited-time summer expression inspired by Noryo - the Japanese cultural tradition of seeking coolness during summer, often enjoyed through tranquil moments by the water, where people slow down, refresh the senses, and reconnect with nature.
Following the successful debut of the Sakura Bloom Edition, the Roku Gin Noryo Tea Edition arrives as the second release in the Seasonal Festival Collection. Inspired by the sensory rituals of Noryo - a time to cool down, slow down and savor the season - Roku Gin Noryo Tea Edition elevates two peak flavours of Roku’s six signature Japanese botanicals: Sencha tea and Gyokuro green tea.
The Editions are crafted with Roku’s signature commitment to Shun - the Japanese philosophy of celebrating ingredients at their seasonal peak, when ripeness and freshness come together to express their most exceptional flavor.
Tasting Notes: The Sensory Profile of Roku Gin Noryo Tea Edition
On the nose, delicate grassy notes of Sencha tea sit above soft citrus and classic gin aromas. The palate reveals the rich umami character of Gyokuro tea, balancing beautifully with lighter floral tones, while the finish unfolds with bright yuzu, gentle sansho spice and elegant green tea notes.
The Roku Gin Noryo Tea Edition Bottle Design
The bottle design reflects the spirit of Noryo through refined, tactile details: outlined tea-leaf illustrations, a washi-paper label with green accents and botanicals embossed directly into the glass. Each element tells a story of Japanese craftsmanship and thoughtful attention to seasonality.
Signature Summer Serve: The Noryo Fizz Cocktail Recipe
Roku Gin Noryo Tea Edition is designed to shine in seasonal serves, including the Noryo Fizz, a vibrant gin fizz that highlights the tea-forward character of the spirit while celebrating the flavours of summer.
