Suntory Global Spirits Appoints Manuel Cabañas as Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer

 

NEW YORK, August 25, 2026 — Suntory Global Spirits, a world leader in premium spirits, today announced the appointment of Manuel Cabañas as Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer, effective September 4, 2026. Cabañas succeeds Alex Alvarez, who has decided to leave the company to pursue another opportunity.

 

In his new role, Cabañas will lead all aspects of Suntory Global Spirits' global supply chain organization, including manufacturing, distribution, quality, sourcing and supply chain operations across the company's international network.

 

A respected leader with more than 25 years of manufacturing and operations experience, Cabañas joined the company in Spain in 2000, and has held progressively senior leadership roles across production, operations, quality and general management, including leading the company’s businesses in Spain and India. Since 2021, he has served as Vice President of Global Manufacturing, leading the company's global manufacturing network and advancing operational excellence, quality, safety and engineering capabilities across the organization.
