Suntory Global Spirits Hosts Sixth Annual Together for Good Global Community Volunteering Event
Throughout the Spring and Summer, Suntory Global Spirits employees united for our annual Together for Good volunteering initiative spanning five continents, in line with our values of Growing for Good and Giving Back to Society.
Our employees engaged in diverse activities spanning tree planting, park maintenance, community and beach cleanups, meal packing and sporting events – as part of our efforts to create a positive impact on the planet, consumers and in our communities.
Global Impact
In the US, our New York team collaborated with the Prospect Park Alliance to weed and mulch the grounds of the historic Picnic House at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, helped with bulb pulling at Madison Square Park in partnership with Madison Square Park Conservancy, and cleaned shell piles at Governor’s Island with the Billion Oyster Project. Our Southern California team partnered with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, assembling 1,429 food packages and sorting 10,000 pounds of donated food to support families facing food insecurity, while our Chicago team, together with Friends of the Chicago River, removed invasive species and litter at Clark Park to protect its watershed. In Kentucky, employees joined together in Louisville across four days to support Change Today, Change Tomorrow’s Feed the West program to distribute healthy food options to underserved communities, and our Frankfort team packed over 24,000 meals for community members in need.
Across the Atlantic in Spain, 230 volunteers joined forces with the Randstad Foundation for an inclusive sports event, fostering connections with individuals with disabilities. In the UK, 80 employees beautified the Brixton St. Matthew's Community Garden in collaboration with Leaves Breathes, while our Scotland team participated in a litter-picking day with the Hawthorn Housing Co-operative.
In our Asia Pacific (APAC) region, India led impactful activities across multiple cities. Volunteers in Hyderabad planted over 200 trees and led a community clean-up, while in Mumbai and Kolkata, teams participated in tree planting and visited a local orphanage. In Singapore, 70 volunteers worked with the Waterways Watch Society for a coastal clean-up at Changi Beach, collecting over 300 kilograms of trash.
A Culture of Giving
We’re so proud to see our global employees prioritize giving back to worthy causes, and as a company, we support this commitment. In addition to this annual program, we provide eligible employees with three paid Suntory Global Spirits Cares Days each year to volunteer for charities or social projects of their choosing. It’s been another great year of Together for Good and we continue to be inspired by seeing our teams come together to contribute to meaningful initiatives within their communities.
